Sartell High School
Bismarck, North Dakota
Project Highlight
Sartell-St. Stephen School District was in search of an Architect to provide them with an innovative design approach to help them deliver education to their growing community.
The school design supports a new paradigm for education, embracing career technical education (CTE) and media spaces in a more cohesive and integrated diagram. Traditionally these spaces would be located towards the back of the building, instead the design team brought them front and center adjacent to the main commons. This allows the innovative spaces to be visible to students and central to the other educational programs, fostering a more collaborative spirit.

Bringing specialized learning forward, visible, celebrated.
Flexible lab spaces span the commons as metaphoric bridges connecting the learning neighborhoods and specialized labs. The intersections of general and specialized learning are home to student driven media lab spaces that replace the traditional media center. This offers a more accessible student resource for all learners.
