Park High School

Cottage Grove, Minnesota

The Challenge

To support a successful bond referendum, revitalizing Park High School's CTE spaces became a top priority. The existing facility lacked the visibility and openness needed to foster collaboration between programs. Additionally, the woodworking lab was insufficient for expanding into the construction trades.

The Solution

By improving adjacencies and increasing transparency, we strengthened connections between hands-on learning spaces. A new design collaboration lab was strategically positioned at the intersection of CTE, engineering, and art spaces to encourage cross-curricular collaboration and industry partner engagement. The expanded woodworking lab now offers the flexibility to support a variety of building trade learning activities.

The Benefit

Through creative and efficient design and planning, the project increased utilization within the existing footprint and enhanced CTE program visibility, showcasing student project work effectively.
